HOW'S THE WEATHER

HEY EVERYONE, We've heard the weather around the Nati has been pretty unbearable. We could stand for a little bit of that down here. Its August and winter is winding up....temps range between 4 and 16 degrees celcius. Sounds really cold but 4C = 39F and 16C =61F. Alice Jackson and I are starting to really settle in. It was quite an adjustment. There are so many things that we took for granted in the U.S. , like the price of gas. I hear its hovering around $2.40 per gallon. Well here we pay $1.40 per litre guess what ...thats $5.60 per gallon...$2.40 doesnt sound sooo bad. Also Alice has been quick to point out that central air and heating is more than a luxury down here its non existant. We survive on space heaters. Most dont even heat there home or cool it down in the summer. Guess we are just soft Americans.... With all that said....we would not trade this experience for anything. The way the city and country exist side by side is amazing. Once at One tree hill (which is in the middle of the city) you feel like your in the middle of nowhere. Soo quiet and the air is soo fresh..it is truly island living.
